Police investigating after Tufts student awakes to find man in room

SOMERVILLE, MA (WHDH) - Police are investigating after a Tufts University student awoke to find a man in his bedroom.

On Saturday just before 6 p.m., Tufts University Police received a report of a breaking and entering at a house on College Avenue in Somerville.

The resident, a Tufts student, awoke to find a man standing in his bedroom.

According to police, the man ran from the house out the front door to College Avenue.

Tufts University police and Somerville police searched the area and did not find the suspect.

Police are now investigating.

Police also remind students to always secure doors and windows, turn on exterior lighting at night, and be alert to your surroundings.
