Pressure cooker left in public trash found, deemed safe

SAUGUS, Mass. (WHDH) — A pressure cooker thrown out in a public trash can caused a scare in Saugus.

It was discovered outside of a store on Broadway Street.

A bomb squad was called in, but eventually ruled the pressure cooker safe.

Police said since the Boston Marathon bombings, throwing out items like pressure cookers in a public trash can is irresponsible.
