SOUTH PORTLAND, ME (WHDH) — A rabid fox went on a rampage in South Portland, Maine.

The wild animal first bit a man sitting in his truck at home depot, then a jogger who told police he was attacked, but kicked the fox away before getting bit.

A short time later, two campers nearby reported they had been bitten. Another man and a woman said they ran into the fox, but were able to scare it away with a stick.

“I picked up the stick, hit the ground, he went off the trail about ten yards down,” said Nicky Burke, who was chased by the fox.

Police eventually captured the animal inside a building and killed it.
