BRENTWOOD, N.H. (WHDH) — The scene is secure after police officers and SWAT teams were at a house in Brentwood, New Hampshire, where a possibly suicidal person was barricaded inside.

The standoff happened at Mill Pond Crossing in a condo complex for people over the age of 50. Residents were asked to stay inside their homes while police secured the scene.

Officers could be seen swarming the house in a standoff that lasted nearly three hours. According to the Brentwood Police Facebook page, the scene has been secured and residents are now being allowed to return to their homes.

Police said the suspect was found dead inside the house. A neighbor told 7News the suspect is a 62-year-old man.

This is not the first time this neighborhood has dealt with such a situation. In May 2014, a police officer was ambushed and killed in the same complex while responding to a domestic situation.
