YARMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - Police in Yarmouth arrested a man wanted on weapons violations and recovered roughly $10,000 of the dangerous drug Fentanyl.

Officials say police saw a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu with North Carolina plates traveling in West Yarmouth.

Police say the vehicle was operated by David Silva, 37 of Centerville, who was wanted by the US Marshals Service for a weapons violation. Police say Silva was well known to law enforcement.

An officer stopped the vehicle and arrested Silva, where he is currently being held in a federal correctional facility without bail.

Officials say a hotel where Silva was staying was searched and found a large clear plastic bag containing 91 grams of Fentanyl.

Silva is being charged with felony drug trafficking charges.
