The atmosphere at Gillette Stadium was electric Saturday as the Patriots defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to advance to their fifth straight AFC championship game.

Fans said they were happy to see tight end Rob Gronkowski get two touchdowns despite a recent knee injury and missing practice twice this week. Julian Edelman also showed that he was getting back to normal after missing seven games with a broken foot.

"Gronk’s a god. Of course he’s not going to be hurt," said one Patriots fan outside of Gillette Stadium.

Next weekend, the Patriots will play the winner of Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos. Outside Gillette, Patriots fans were divided over who they wanted to see the Patriots play.

"I want them to play the Broncos because Peyton Manning. You want another Tom Brady versus Peyton Manning matchup. That’s what you want," a Patriots fan told 7News.

"Steelers are hurting so I think we would play the Steelers," said another Patriots fan.
