Forget “Cyber Monday” – the Red Sox did their holiday shopping a week early, opening up the check book and throwing plenty of cash at a pair of big ticket items, reportedly agreeing to deals with both Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez.

Pablo Sandoval is in line for a 5-year contract that could pay him $102 million. He was a key cog for the 3-time World Series Champion San Francisco Giants. At 28, Sandoval is a .294 career hitter.

Hanley Ramirez was a bit more of a surprise. At one time a property of the Red Sox, Ramirez was traded to get Josh Beckett and Mike Lowell nine years ago today. Now, the 30-year-old is reportedly on his way back with a 5-year $90 million deal.

The Sox may also still be in the running for Jon Lester.
