BOSTON (WHDH) — The Bruins teed up at the Ferncroft Country Club for the Shawn Thornton Foundation’s annual golf tournament.

It seemed like just yesterday when they saw their Stanley Cup chances slip away in Game 6. But this reloaded batch of Bruins thinks they’ve got a better shot when the puck drops this fall.

“Looking at last year, I don’t think we played our best hockey. But we still somehow made it to the finals, so a lot of things have to click,” said Bruins goaltender, Tuukka Rask.

“I like where our team’s at. On paper it looks great, but that’s one thing. We have to perform still. I’m excited about the upcoming year,” said Bruins forward, Shawn Thornton.

The Bruins begin their season October 3rd.
