Missy Franklin, who finished 13th in the 200m freestyle semifinal, will swim the second leg of the women’s 4x200m freestyle qualifying relay Wednesday afternoon.
Leading off the relay will be 2012 Olympic 200m freestyle champion Allison Schmitt, who already owns a silver medal from these Games as part of the 4x100m freestyle relay. Melanie Margalis and Cierra Runge, both making their Olympic debut in Rio, will fill out the squad.
