SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) — One man was killed and a second injured in a shooting in Massachusetts, police said.
The victims were shot at about 4 p.m. Monday in Springfield, according to police spokesman Ryan Walsh.
One man was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle and was pronounced dead later in the day, Walsh said.
The second victim was found a few blocks from the scene of the shooting and is expected to survive.
Their names have not been made public.
The deaths remain under investigation and no arrests have been announced.
The victims were among a group that had gathered outdoors. Some were in a car while others were around it, Walsh said.
