One person was killed and two people were injured when two boats collided near a Coast Guard station in St. Petersburg, Florida Friday evening.
The crash was so close, Coast Guardsmen heard the collision and then launched a rescue boat.
In all, five people were found on the two boats.
Authorities said one person was dead at the scene.
Two others were taken to a hospital.
One person is in critical condition, and the second suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries.
