A 19-year-old woman was shot and killed Sunday night in New Bedford and police are now searching for a suspect.
Neighbors said Sabrina DaSilva was taking out the trash when she was shot in the parking lot of her Bedford Street apartment. Witnesses said they heard several gunshots. DaSilva was taken to the hospital, where she died a short time later.
The victim was described as a “very nice” person who was the mother of a 2-year-old daughter. One neighbor told 7News she was going to school and had a job.
No arrests have been made.
