HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Police have arrested two people in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenager near a recreational trail in Connecticut.

Hamden police say 22-year-old Robert Moye and another suspect who was 17 at the time of the slaying were arrested this week and charged with murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery.

They are charged in the Nov. 13 shooting of 18-year-old Leeandre Benton.

Benton was found near the Farmington Canal Trail by officers responded to reports of a shooting. He was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital and died there the next day.

The younger suspect was held on $2.5 million bail. Court information for Moye was not immediately available. It was unclear if they had lawyers.

Police say they expect to make a third arrest in the case.
