6 people in custody after Standoff with police in Revere

REVERE, MASS. (WHDH) - Police did not inform residents what was happening when they arrived to Francis St. in Revere at 4:30 a.m.

Police were responding to a 911 call saying they heard gunfire on the 2nd floor of a Francis St. building.

As officers investigated, the swat team was called in and locked down the neighborhood.

Residents were forced to hide inside.

6 people were taken into custody.

Police are not saying exactly what happened this morning, but are saying it is under investigation.
