CHARLESTON, Maine (AP) — Police are still searching for a convicted murderer who escaped from prison in Maine.
Authorities say 65-year-old Arnold Nash was last seen Thursday evening at the minimum security unit at Mountain View Correctional Facility in Charleston.
He was wearing blue jeans and a light blue shirt, and authorities say he’s escaped from different facilities twice before.
John Ford, a game warden who helped capture Nash after an escape in 1981, tells WABI-TV he questions why Nash was being held at the minimum security facility.
Nash was serving a 45-year sentence for killing his former neighbor in North Sullivan. He was due to be released next year after serving 26 years.
Maine State Police Spokesman Stephen McCausland says there have been no sightings of Nash or reports of suspicious activity.
