The highest court in the state has denied a request by parishioners in a Scituate church dispute.

The court is refusing hear an appeal from a group of Catholic parishioners that were found to be trespassing on a closed church in Scituate.

The St. Frances Cabrini church was closed 11 years ago following a sex-abuse scandal.

The ruling said the parishioners can be forced to leave the site, but the parishioners said they will keep trying to get the church back open.
