(AP) — Performances, craft demonstrations and food will be featured at this year’s Eastern States Exposition for New Hampshire, otherwise known as the Big E.

The fair opened in West Springfield, Massachusetts, on Friday. Crafters at work will be featured on New Hampshire Day this Friday, Sept. 20.

Fairgoers will be able to see chair-caning, woodcarving, basket making, Shaker box making, Russian doll making, and weaving, among other trades.

Featured performers are the Monadnock Mavericks dance group of Keene; New England Voices in Harmony Women’s Chorus, of Nashua; Ben Pratt Magic, of Stoddard; the Ukeladies, of Manchester; the Mill Band, of Hanover.

New Hampshire has been a part of the Big E’s Avenue of States since 1930 with its own state pavilion.
