Democratic presidential contenders square off in their second debate Saturday.

It opened with a moment of silence for the people of Paris.

The debate quickly shifted to the topic of ISIS.

All three candidates vowed that the United States would root out the terror groups behind the carnage.

Terrorism, foreign policy, and the use of American forces dominated the debate.

Bernie Sanders challenged Hillary Clinton on her vote as a senator in favor of the war in Iraq.

"I think that was one of the worst foreign policy blunders in the history of the United States,” said Sanders.

Clinton dismissed the assertion, and called on other countries to take a stronger role in the fight against ISIS.

“It cannot be contained, it must be defeated,” said Clinton.

As the debate continued, the focus shifted to the economy and Wall Street, where Sanders and Martin O’Malley challenged the front runner.

Education, healthcare, the environment, and immigration were also in the mix.

Candidates took swipes at their Republican counterparts more often than each other.

"Let’s say it in our debate, because you’ll never hear this from that immigrant bashing, carnival barker, Donald Trump," said O’Malley.
