A JetBlue flight headed to Worcester but diverted in Florida reached its destination Thursday night.

JetBlue Flight 2020 took off from Fort Lauderdale and made it to North Carolina before a mechanical problem was reported in mid-air. It then turned around and landed in Jacksonville, Florida.

“They said we were going to land at a higher speed and that scared me,” said passenger Vivian Wilson. “I just wanted to hit the ground, that was my main thing, it didn’t matter where we landed.”

Almost 100 people got off the plane so maintenance crews could inspect the plane. Passengers said they were told one of the plane’s three computers had crashed. The delays lasted almost two hours.

The plane finally landed at Worcester Regional Airport, four hours later than expected.
