A heartbreaking photo surfaced Sunday morning of a dog who couldn’t leave the side of his fallen fellow canine.
According to NBCDFW.com, the dog, a Great Pyrenees, was watching over a dog that appeared to have been struck by a car and died. A passerby saw the scene and shared a photo with an area animal advocacy group.
The dog’s owner has yet to be located. The dog is currently at Dallas Animal Services, where it will be held for 72 hours. It’s also unclear the relationship of the dog to his fallen friend.
