A 78-year-old man who was reported missing when he and his 28-foot boat, Live Wire, failed to return from a trip to Edgartown on Friday was located with the help of a good Samaritan, the coast guard said.
After receiving a report from a good Samaritan, search crews learned that Lee Welch was not on his boat and was safe on land on Block Island on Sunday.
