Juliette looks more like something you’d find in a fairytale than on a farm.

The horn on Juliette’s head makes the horse look more like a real-life unicorn and makes a living posing for pictures.

But on Wednesday, Juliette had other ideas.

People driving down Avenue 12 in Madera, California saw the animal on the roadway and immediately called 9-1-1.

A California Highway Patrol helicopter shined a spotlight on the 3-hour chase as the escaped animal ran dangerously close to traffic.

But with the help of local residents, the "unicorn" was returned safely home.

The Boos family says they’ll make some changes to ensure the animal doesn’t escape again.
