Several students at a prom in Fall River were raced to the hospital after getting sick Friday night.
According to school officials, those students ate brownies laced with marijuana.
Students from Durfee High School were celebrating at Rachel’s Lakeside in Dartmouth when some became seriously ill.
The venue’s owner blames a foreign substance. He said the prom had 275 guests, but only about seven got sick.
Ambulances and police arrived just before 9 p.m.
According to Dartmouth Police, no one was arrested or taken into custody, but two or three guests needed medical treatment.
The school has not commented on the incident.
