MOLTONBOROUGH, N.H. (WHDH) — The Woodshed Restaurant in Moltonborough New Hampshire was destroyed by a fire Friday.

Frequent diners at the Woodshed said more than the loss of the restaurant is the loss of the memories.

“It was special occasions for wife and I and family. Just a lot of celebrations here. It's extremely sad, just devastation. It’s something historical for our town. This is hidden treasure off beaten path. It was beautiful inside, a lot of antiques,” Todd Ringlestein said.

The fire started shortly after the owners closed up on Thanksgiving night.

Co-owner Andy Juhasz said the restaurant was more than just a job for him.

“It was built in the 1800s. I grew up here as kid and cheffed this place in the early 80's,” he said.

With all of the history that was destroyed, the owners aren’t sure if they’re going to rebuild.

“I think it's one of these places that unfortunately, how d you rebuild and how do you ever try to bring something like this back. I think there are just too many irreplaceable memories,” co-owner Scott Ouellette said.
