Police have released the 911 call made by a South Florida teen that led to four arrests after, investigators said, burglars broke into his home.

The 16-year-old was home alone, sick from school Wednesday, when he realized the perpetrators were ransacking his residence.

Police said the teen locked his bedroom door, grabbed a sword, and called 911.

Teen: “I can hear them outside the door.”

Dispatcher: “You can hear them outside the door? You can hear them, but you can’t see them?”

Teen: “No, I saw them, I saw them right before I closed the door.”

According to investigators, officers arrived just as the burglars were trying to get into the victim’s locked bedroom.

Two people were arrested as they ran from the house. Two more were found in a suspected getaway car. All four have been charged with burglary.
