Gerber has voluntarily recalled specific batches of Organic pouch products. According to the FDA, the recall comes after the company identified a packaging defect that may have resulted in product spoilage.

The recall includes the following products: GERBER Organic 2nd Foods Pouch in Pears, Carrots & Peas and Carrots, Apples & Mangoes. There are two batches affected for each of the products.

According to the FDA announcement, customers may notice the pouches are bloated and the product may have a bad taste or odor.

According to the report, there have been three consumer reports of temporary gastrointestinal symptoms, although they are unable to confirm the symptoms are related to the product.

Customers who purchased the recalled products can contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556.
