Group takes first step toward becoming 51st state with ‘New California’

SACRAMENTO (WHDH) — The founders of “New California” have taken the first step toward their attempt at becoming the 51st state.

The group provided a map to illustrate their vision, showing “New California” mainly being on the coastline.

The group said it hopes to work with regular California’s state legislature later this year.
