HOLLISTON, MASS. (WHDH) - HOLLISTON, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say several animals have died after a barn went up in flames in a Boston suburb.
Officials in Holliston say they received several 911 calls about the barn fire shortly before 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters say the structure was fully engulfed when they arrived. Fire departments from several towns responded.
Officials said there were chickens, pigs and goats in the barn. It wasn’t immediately clear how many animals were in the barn or how many were killed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Concord St (Rt. 126) at the Ashland town line remains closed, in both directions due to barn fire. Please avoid traveling in the area.
