FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) — A brewery in Framingham is missing out on 3,000 gallons or 1,300 cases of beer after one of the tanks sprung a leak Wednesday.

“We watched the beer go down the drain. It's not a fun morning at Jack’s Abby brewing,” said Sam Hendler, Co-owner of Jack’s Abby Brewery.

Jack’s Abby brewers said the beer was supposed to be bottled this week, but because of the leak the entire batch was ruined.

Jack's Abby was started by three brothers in 2011; it started with them and 500 barrels of beer a year. Now they've grown to producing more than 6,000 barrels a beer a year with 17 employees.

“One of those freak things. The gasket failed overnight. Nobody was in the brewery when that happened. We came in this morning to an almost empty tank that should have been very full,” Hendler said.

They expect to have enough kegs of beer to keep the supply up until more can be brewed, but they will run out of beer in the beginning of January.
