Jimmy Fallon is having tough luck with his hands lately.

Months after nearly severing his finger in an accident in his home, Fallon was the victim of another misstep – this time in Boston over the weekend.

Fallon was in Cambridge to receive a comedy award from the Harvard Lampoon. A spokeswoman said Fallon tripped over a woman at the party and landed on broken glass.

On Monday’s taping of the Tonight Show, Fallon went into greater detail to explain what happened. He says he was trying to give a bottle of Jägermeister as a gift, but tripped over someone who was trying to give him a flower, threw the bottle, and landed on the broken glass.

Fallon was not seriously injured in the fall and only required some bandages. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital as a precaution to make sure no glass in his hand and was able to return to the party.
