NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Water fountains at a Newton school are being tested after traces of lead were found in the water.
Officials from Burr Elementary School said only one of the water fountains at the school out of 20 has tested positive for lead. School officials also said that there are no lead pipes in the school. To be sure everyone is safe, water fountains at all 22 schools in the Newton School District will be tested.
The test results are expected back in a few days. Until then, students and teachers are being given bottled water.
