FRANKLIN, MASS. (WHDH) - Massachusetts State Police are currently investigating after a man was struck and killed on Route 495 in Franklin.
According to police, a male pedestrian was struck on 495 southbound at approximately 12:22 a.m. The incident occurred just north of Exit 17 in Franklin.
A preliminary investigation suggests the man was walking in the middle lane of the highway when he was struck by a 2011 Honda Accord.
The pedestrian has been identified as Anthony Santucci, 41, of Franklin. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver has only been identified as a 32-year-old woman from Cumberland, RI. The woman stayed at the scene. No charges have currently been filed.
