MEDFORD, MASS. (WHDH) - Teachers at several Medford schools will stand out Friday for higher pay and better benefits.

More than 400 members of the Medford Teachers Association (MTA) are expected to rally. They are calling for higher pay, which they say will allow the district to remain competitive for recruiting experienced teachers.

Just days ago, MTA members held a vote of no confidence in the mayor to get their contract ratified. These educators say they have been without a contract for more than a year and a half.
