A cab driver in Nashua, New Hampshire managed to rescue several people from a housing complex after it caught fire Sunday.

Frank Figueroa said he was driving past the housing complex and saw smoke coming from one of the units. He drove into the complex’s parking lot and called 911 before he started yelling to warn everyone.

"Instinctively, I kicked down one door and started getting them open and alerting them to danger," said Figueroa.

Figueroa managed to get 10 people out of the complex, plus a dog. He kept four young children and the dog in his cab to stay warm as they waited for the fire department to arrive.

"I’m not a hero. I did what anyone would or could do," said Figueroa. "The real heroes are the ones who put out the fire."

Firefighters said faulty electrical wiring caused the fire. No one was injured.
