NASHUA, N.H (WHDH) - A New Hampshire road is back open after an explosive scare.

Nashua police shut down Broad Street for several hours Sunday afternoon after investigators found homemade explosive chemicals inside a house.

A bomb squad showed up as a precaution to safely get rid of the materials.

“The street was closed due to an abundance of caution, just because we were unsure of the exact nature of the materials, that’s why we shut down the area,” Sgt. Bob Powers of the Nashua Police Department said.

Investigators disposed of the explosives safely and said they do not suspect terrorism.
