A New Hampshire State Police trooper saved the day for a pair of superheroes who were on their way to a birthday party.
State Trooper Mark Sutmeyer helped Ben Dobrusin and Madison Pais after their car ran out of gas on I-93 in Hooksett on Sunday. Dobrusin and Pais were dressed as Captain America and Wonder Woman for 4-year-old Carter’s birthday party.
Sutmeyer drove the superheroes to the party, saying he had never seen anything like this before.
"He was such a nice guy and he was so cool about it," said Pais.
The birthday boy and his friends loved seeing Captain America and Wonder Woman come out of the police car and Carter’s mother said she even thought the whole entrance was intentional.
"All the little kids came out and it was awesome, it was like we were real superheroes," said Dobrusin.
