EAST BOSTON (WHDH) — One person was killed and another person injured after a party bus struck the two people early Sunday morning in East Boston.

The crash happened on McClellan Highway, just before the exit for Logan Airport. Police said they received a 911 call reporting the crash at around 2 a.m.

One person was killed instantly and the other was taken to the hospital, where their condition is unknown.

Investigators closed the road for hours as they investigated how the crash happened.

Officers with flashlights were seen walking up and down the road, combing for clues.

According to Boston Police, the investigation is ongoing.
