Cast and crew wrapped up filming scenes for the upcoming "Patriots Day" in Quincy Wednesday.

While in Quincy, star and producer Mark Wahlberg waved to the crowd during filming. The Dorchester native also paid a visit to Ginger Betty’s Bakery, where the staff had literally rolled out the red carpet hoping to get stars from the movie to stop by.

The bakery is selling special cookies to benefit the Martin Richard Foundation, started in memory of the youngest Boston Marathon bombing victim. Owner Beth Veneto said Wahlberg was excited to meet everyone and thanked them for their fundraiser.

A new actress has also joined the cast of "Patriots Day." Michelle Monaghan will be playing the role of Carol Saunders, the wife of Sgt. Tommy Saunders, who is being played by Wahlberg. More scenes for the movie will be filmed in and around Boston in the upcoming months.
