BOSTON (WHDH) - A large crowd gathered at Boston Common Friday for a peace rally to protest the election of Donald Trump as president.

Many in the crowd brought anti-Trump signs and one person was seen flying an American flag upside down, a sign of distress. Some people at the protest said they were not only protesting the election but calling for unity and peace.

People chanted “stronger together” and “love trumps hate” during the rally, both slogans associated with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
