ARLINGTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Police have determined racist text messages allegedly sent by a student at an Arlington middle school were fake.
Last week, Arlington Police began investigating allegations a sixth grade student at Ottoson Middle School sent racist text messages to one student about another.
Police determined the student who claimed to have received the hateful messages had created the narrative and faked the story.
No charges have been filed at this time.
Police are working with the school to determine the appropriate corrective action for the student.
