If the alien invasion is upon us, the Portland, Maine police department saw it first.
The department posted a video on its Facebook page that showed a light streaking across the sky early Tuesday morning, captured by a camera inside a cruiser in front of the central fire station.
The video shows the light streak across the sky. One of the officers can be heard expressing disbelief at the light.
In the tongue-in-cheek post, Portland Police say “the meteor (or alien spaceship) was caught on camera at approximately 0050 hours (12:50 a.m.). Let’s hope the visitors are friendly.”
Police added, “whomever they are, I’m sure we could win them over with a whoopie pie.”
Multiple reports indicate the streaking light was a meteor. Unless that’s what they want us to believe.
