Natick police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who allegedly stole two antique handbags from a local shop.

According to police, the woman entered the shop around 7:00 p.m. Thursday night, and expressed interest in the two handbags.

Police said the woman asked the owner for a business car, and as the owner was getting one she left the store with the two bags.

The suspect was confronted after she left the store, but she denied that she had any involvement in the incident. She denied the request for a bag check.

The value of the two bags was placed at $135.

The suspect was described as a white female approximately 5’4” tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds. She has short hair, and at the time of the theft she was wearing a black and white scarf around her neck and a black leather jacket with silver metal studs on the shoulders.

Police said the suspect was with a white male who is approximately 5’8” tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a baseball cap with a large brim, and had brown hair and a brown beard.
