A woman found dead in her car at a California Walmart parking lot last week likely passed away months earlier, according to investigators.

Walmart employees found the body of 22-year-old Lauren Jessie Moss in her car on Feb. 3 in Salinas.

She was last seen alive in November shortly after leaving a drug rehabilitation center.

Her sister said Moss left a suicide note and a drug needle was found in the car.

According to police, the Salinas Walmart security footage only went back to December 2015.

December footage showed Moss’s car in the parking lot.

Walmart said it does not patrol the lot overnight.

Police also said the car had dark-tinted windows and a sunshade, making it hard to find someone inside.
