HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — Police in Connecticut are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run that killed a woman over the weekend.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. Sunday in Hamden. Police say a 51-year-old woman was struck by an SUV as she crossed the street.

The victim was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released her identity.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Hamden Police Department’s Traffic Division. They say the dark-colored SUV likely has passenger side front-end damage.
