CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Gas prices are still climbing in northern New England.

GasBuddy’s daily survey of gas outlets in New Hampshire found that average retail gasoline prices in the state have risen 5.2 cents per gallon in the past week, to an average of $2.79 per gallon. Prices in Vermont have gone up 4.6 cents per gallon to an average of $2.85. In Maine, prices have risen 4.2 cents per gallon to an average price of $2.86.

The national average is $2.86 per gallon. It’s increased nearly 15.4 cents per gallon in the last month and stands 53.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
