DUXBURY, MASS. (WHDH) - The harbormaster in Duxbury is investigating the second reported shark sighting in two days.

The harbormaster said someone reported seeing a shark off Ocean Road North at Duxbury Beach. The sighting has not been confirmed yet and the harbormaster said it could have been a sunfish or a sand tiger shark.

The first sighting came just before 7 a.m. Sunday when someone reported a shark’s fin about a quarter of a mile offshore. A boat was sent out to look for the shark but nothing was found.

“We were actually at the beach yesterday when the first one came about and I was a little hesitant to go in the water,” said Cheryl Chapman.

Beachgoers are advised to swim at their own risk.
