Following mass shootings that have taken place in San Bernardino (Calif.), Colorado Springs (Colo.), and across the country, a sheriff’s office in Jacksonville, Florida provided detailed instructions for people to survive a mass shooting attempt.
On its Facebook page, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office posted,
"In light of recent mass shooting tragedies, we at the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office want to offer some tips as to what to do in case you find yourself in a situation where you are faced with a gunman on a shooting spree.
The post, written on Thursday, detailed the three things everyone must do – Run, Hide, or Fight (which was offered as a last resort). The department also provided a video.
The post had been shared more than 1,500 times as of Friday afternoon.
