CONCORD, N.H. (WHDH) - A man was shot in a road rage incident Saturday, leading to a death Manchester Police called “suspicious.”

Officials from the Attorney General’s Office also responded to the death.

A gunshot around 3:30 p.m. brought traffic to a standstill on Willow Street.

“I thought it was an accident,” witness Ryan Connors, who had ran from his car to administer aid, said. “But he said that someone had been shot.”

Connors said as soon as he realized it was more serious, he left his car with a combat medical kit from his trunk and ran over to help. He found the man lying in the middle of the road in front of the Auto-Fare Hyundai.

“He was barely moving, I don’t think he was breathing,” Connors said. “But I knelt down, and there was nothing anyone could do.”

From there, he said, police swarmed the scene and covered the deceased with a tent.

Customers from a nearby store said they heard a gunshot, and some ran out to see what happened.

“Police told him that it was a road rage incident,” one witness said. “It was taped up almost immediately.”

Officials ask anyone able to avoid the area.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available, police said, and ask anyone with information to contact officials.
