BROCKTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Two pedestrians were hit by a van in Brockton Thursday morning, killing a woman in her 40s, and sending the other man to the hospital, according to Brockton police.
Police responded shortly to the intersection of Main Street and Livingston Road at approximately 6:40 a.m. When officers arrived on scene, they said they found two individuals in their 40s in the roadway.
Police said the driver remained at the scene.
“There was a lot of police, I was shaking,” Maria Deluz said, a nearby salon owner.
The crash raised renewed safety concerned for those who walk in the area, including Deluz.
“Very said and now I’m going to be scared when I leave here,” Deluz said.
Massachusetts State Police are assisting Brockton police with the investigation.
