FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Members of the New England Patriots went shopping Tuesday evening with children in need for their annual “Gifts from the Gridiron” event at Patriot Place.

The children from homeless shelter programs were each given $400 to spend at Bass Pro Shops. The children not only got to pick out winter clothes and other gifts with the players, they got the chance to hang out with their favorite football team.

“Growing up, some of us faced our own adversity and being granted the opportunity we have today and being able to come back and help out the kids means a lot,” said Malcolm Mitchell.
